That's exactly what I meant. My card only has 4 megs of ram onboard and doesn't have the newer smaller (file size) codec available to you....such as Mpeg-4. I have to do mine in YVU-9 which is basically RAW uncompressed data whereas your card compresses the picture to mpeg-4 on the fly. That means my harddrive spins like a top.
This really gets me thinking that I need a new card. I'm jealous..LoL.[/quote:14aa7]
My cards only a basic pinnacle pctv rave
I don;t even think it has onboard ram afaik it uses system ram.
