Goods:
Graphics, Animation, sounds

Bads:
Worst lag I've ever seen, horrible level, Weapon balancing, explosion radius of grenades and rockets.

I am sure the single player will be fun, the first time you play it. The multiplayer sucks because of the heavy lag. I have DSL and I con only hold 4-6 player games. People start off with 70 ping and after 10 min their ping ski rockets to 999, and they drop. If they fix the lag and provide some better out doors maps then were talking fun.

Overall I am disappointed so far. I hope they release a second improved demo, because as of right now I am not shelling out money for this game. I already got burnt on RTCW.

From the looks of things H&D2 and BattleField 1942 (BF1942) will be the games to play this year. These two games will have strong single player games with Co-operative play up to 4 players, also a good array of MP games. BF1942 will the most amazing thing anyone has seen because the single player game is not scripted at all. AI controls everything you’ll see in the game. So you can replay the same mission over and over with different event happening. Like you may be stuck in a city like SPR and a squad of mustangs fly by to assist. Next time you play the mustangs may be meet by German fighter and they dogfight overhead as your battle rages below. One time your mustangs may win and then come and assist you with bombing tanks. Another time they may get shot down. Nothing is scripted so it is has very high replay factor. Also since you can have 3 of your buddies join your single player mission via LAN or Internet, you can replay mission over and over and try different tactics. And the MP of BF1942 will be mind blowing. BF1942 will have over 20 different vehicles that you can easily control and use in battle. From B17 bombers that man 3 people, to submarines, Battle ships, Aircraft carriers, fighters, tanks, transport vehicles, AA guns, Rocket trucks. And of course no game would be complete with out the standard list of WW2 weapons. So in this game you get your FPS and much much more. You can be on the front lines ducking it out with your enemy and you can call in air support and the air support is not some scripted airplane flying over. But rather its one of your friends flying by in a mustang, dropping bombs on machinegun nests, strafing the ground and shooting enemy soldiers. You call in naval support and another clan member can bring the battle ship around and fire off 16" shells at the enemy positions.
If you don't like to fly, if you don't want to man vehicles, if you only want a simple FPS were you just have to worry about using your 10 weapons then I guess MOH and RCW will be your game but if desire more from a game. You want o be able to assist your buddies on the ground with air support and with a platoon of tanks, or whatever, then I think you should start looking at BF1942. It will be out around May 2002. And it is published by EA, the same guys that brought you MOH and other great games.
