It would also depend a lot on your definition of a sniper. A sniper can be described as a person that waits and picks his opponents off from long range.

In a real life scenario this holds true as in close quarters a sniper would be in trouble for 2 reasons, a bolt action rifle having a slow rate of fire for one, and not beng able to use iron sights on the rifle as the scope would be in the way.

Try doing rambo sniper in a game like day of defeat and you will get your as handed to you time and again because:

1. You can't move when scoped in as soon as you move you drop out of zoomed mode.

2. The rifle has no unzomed crosshair, so basically theyre taking my point of view with the scope blocking the iron sights. Also the scope has a wobble factor which is reduced when crouching and reduced more so when prone.


The above is the way i and a shitload of others had hoped moh would turn out but obviously it didn't. cry:
