those are IL-2M3s (37mm anti-tank gun) they came into service in early-mid 1944, by mid 1944 between the efforts of the US 8th airforce and the Soviet VVS the Luftwaffe was so badly mauled that they couldn't intercept anything, including a kite.[/quote:4027c]
