There already is\was a tnp for moh, don;t think they'd like us taking their old tag.

I was gonna arrange it so we could use my old clan tag of |MoD| but i suppose we'll have to vote on a name once we get a few candidates in place, |MoD| will be one of them though.

I reall hope we can get this pulled through, most of the time if someone starts a post like this intrest is lost in a matter of days and its never mentioned again.

Day of defeat unlike moh is more strategy orientated than running about just fraggin people, innoxx and myself were playing on a server last night and we had a great battle on hateau where we had the allies pinned back for about 15 minutes before we finally capped the last flag and won the match. You compare this to moh where you either play tdm and rotate round the map a dozen times or stick a bomb on an 88 oOo: and you can see why dod is by miles the better game.

You just dont get the sense of war from moh that you do from dod. In dod there are no real whore weapons, every weapon has its advantage and disadvantage and theres no real "perfect weapon" for every conceivable scenario. Hence team play takes presidence.

Snipers are used for covering advancing troops and taking out threats along the way. Rifle men privide support for medium\long range, smgrs for the medium range work and machineguns (stg\bar) can provide cover from a lot of range as well.

The strategy in dod is to get your machinegunners (.30cal\mg42\mg34) set up in a defensible position and base your attack under their cover. Every person plays a role and people going "rambo" will get a shit kicking from the other team. We might think about gettin mic headsets as well since dod has built in voice comms and talking is always easier than typing.
