Spray, you can chuck as much vitriol around as you like mate, I care not. Flames, abuse, all entertainment as far as I'm concerned.
Anti-cheat code...it can be done. It's never perfect as the hackers and anti-hackers will always get into a leap-frogging compo.
But the developers owe it to us, the paying stiffs, to engage in that compo with their full resources. Put one guy on it full-time. How long will it be before the hackers get tired?
And the final weapon available...modify the EULA such that it makes a binding agreement between the publisher/developer and purchaser that any malicious modification of the code will expose the offender to massive civil liability.
Then pin a hacker down and sue the scum-bag into perpetual debt. Personally I'd go round to his home and smash both his hands, but that's just me.
