<HR></BLOCKQUOTE> I'm sorry little girl but the first enigmas were recieved on July 24th(My bday ) in 1939, from Poland and were givien to the French and the Brits. That was after it was decifered in 1932 in Warsaw. The Americans first captured an enigma in 1944 from the German U-Boat; the U-505.

My thoughts on the discussion; after operation typhoon the Germans were finished, so there was no real point in the invasion of Normandy other than preventing the Soviets from taking it after the war with Germany was over.
