Capt Crunch has it in one. Upgrade your PC first. I have an average system (Duron 700, 384mb ram), with a lame Voodoo3 gfx card. I have cable.

In a decent server I get between 20-60 ping and still my fps in a fight goes below 15.

So long as your fps is under 25 it's not smooth-to-the-eye gaming, no matter what yer ping is.

Cable can deliver information much faster than 25 fps, but once it hits your CPU and GFX card and they are old, then it slows right up there.

First thing to do is to upgrade cpu and mother board. I'd go for an Athlon 1.2 GHZ with A-bit K7 motherboard (£200 for the two, you won't need to upgrade for a long time.

Then buy the generic geforce 2 32mb gfx card, then buy more ram.

Then get cable, if you can.

Just upgrading your motherboard and cpu will deliver much better performance than before, but you do need a decent gfx card also, other-wise it bottle-necks there.

Yeh, it's bloody expensive, but once you have cable you never need to dial up again, can use the internet whenever ya like and can download stuff super-fast.

Everything becomes more fun then, not just MoH.

Also, learn how to build your own PC... it's MUCH cheaper and is really easy (just like lego)
