Default Case Mod Idea: Possible, or not? - 03-05-2003, 03:59 PM

I recently was looking into the Asetec VapoChill case, which uses a refridgeration system to feed cold air through a insulated hose, directly on top of your processor. Doing this, can bring temperatures for your CPU down to as low as -40F. Of coarse, something this powerful was designed for overclocking, not every day PC-usage.

Anyways, the case turns out to be about $600 (the one I want), give or take 50 bucks. Hell no, I'm not paying that much for just a damn case! So, I thought about this. . .

I have a mini-fridge in my room (Some of you are already probably laughing.) Do you think it would be possible to take the parts out of the case (Power supply, mobo, everything) and install it in the case for running my PC? The fridge at its coldest is probably about 25 - 30F. ANd with all the fans I have in my case now, it's only at about 60F. So, I want to move it all to the fridge, and run it from the inside of there. What do you think?
