I agree. This gets very frustrating at times. I'll start off with the smg or mg, hit someone 3 times, which only alerts him to my location, then I'm dead. After a few games like this I'll switch to the shotty to even the field. Then it's payback time! But it is very annoying. I think the only solution at present is the Covak-Pooter (or whatever) Realism mod. That is IF the server is using it. I have yet to play on one that was

I look forward to a machine gun being as powerful as a shotgun. I mean, supposedly the developers were concerned with realism. Otherwise why not make the German rifle a semi-automatic?
