Let me go ahead and lay out my stance on this whole thing, so it's clear. Better than start an entire new thread:
Joe, I have no problem with you, other than the fact that most of the people of the forum have a problem with you. This sounds stupid, but allow me to explain. If you have an authority figure whom is not respected, regardless of the job they do, do you honestly think they could ever bring order to anything? It's not that you're a bad mod, Joe, it's more that you're a mod on the wrong forums. Many people apparently already had a pre-disposition to dislike you.
Why am I collaborating with them? Well, more than one reason, really. First off, I think this site needs serious help. Updates on the main page would be a huge step, but BadScript said he was going to set an account up for me to do that two months ago. Don't know if that will happen now. Anyway, Joe, it seems to me that every post now-a-days spirals into a "Nazi Joe" flame war that usually ends up locked or deleted. I've become friends with many of these people, and I will support them, but that is not my only reason. While they feel you shouldn't be a mod because they feel you do your job poorly, I feel you should step down for the sake of peace in the community. I think it's fairly obvious that what happened with strik0r truly set things ablaze in the community, and you are unfortunately trapped in a crossfire you will not easily escape.
So, to sum things up:
Joe, I don't think you're doing a bad job.
I don't think you're a bad person.
I do think you should step down for the sake of aa.com
Thank you.
