You say your disk is clean, no scratches? That's the only thing I can see causing that type of error. If the error always occurs at the same place, then their is some sort of corruption on that sector of the CD(obviously). Wipe the CD down thoroughly, try again. If that does not work, you should be able to contact EA for a replacement.
