French pretty much GAVE us Art. If we didn't have these artists, we wouldn't have some of the great masterpieces:

Monet
Cezanne
David
Manet
Picasso
Gauguin
Millet
Van Gogh (Was a Dutchman - But considered himself French)
Gericault

.....And a shiteload more....
