The SS hated himmler. They thought he was a criminal and a weak minded bastard. They also hated the Gestapo. As one former soldier said "We were infiltrated by criminals and murderers and that the reputation we recevied wasnt always justified. We fought honourably".
To label everyone as Nazis in the SS or otherwise at that time is just plain stupid. Look at Rommel. A gentleman and great General. Certainly no Nazi.
