I agree with telephone: I didn't think it would be such a big deal before, but now it seems that people are starting to think Nazis are cool and sympathizing with them. Even 'non-Nazi' German army. It doesn't matter if they thought it would help them financially, or bring honor to the country, or save their life. A good person has to take a stand in such situations. And many people did, so it is not impossible. It just shows the character of those who gave in. Like they say, difficult times don't just change a person, they reveal part of him. I have nothing against Germans, and I think the same would have happened in any country.
