Try using Alcohol 120% to backup the CD to HD, then mount it. I believe it uses a RAW copy so it won't comprimise the CD protection therefore you won't need a NoCD patch.

Alcohol is only shareware, but there are some other alternative mounting programs such as VirtualDrive(very good) and Daemon tools.
