The whole point why America is the most powerful and richest country is due to the fact that its a very "non-isolated" nation.
The business greatly depends on the international market and cheap foreign labor as well the whole point of US troops stationed in Korea, Europe and the middle-east is to stabilize the region so the steady flow of oil will come making it cheaper as well stabilizing regions holding potential business partners.
