Lame, lame, lame. The only way people wouldn't complain about some gun or other being to powerful is if there was only 1 gun. If you don't like opponent using such an 'easy' weapon as the sniper, then use it yourself to teach them a lesson. But no, you want them to use a weapon that is harder to hit with, so you can use one that is harder to hit with. What is the point? Make a mod where the weapons are so hard to hit with, you have to empty 10 clips at point-blank range just to hit once. As it is this game uses a random path deviation so the weapons don't fire quite straight. And yes that goes for the sniper too.
