My grandpa was in the canadian army, he got his stomache guts shot out possibly by a mp40 or mp42, he was in belguim fighting, he never really talked about it but he said "he saw a german sniper, we both made eye contact and im standing here now" so he killed him.
I couldn't imagine how the fuck guys survived throught the war, it would be pretty freak throwing grenades back an forth or running across a street while getting shot at by tanks or infantry.
