Pre-Classical Rock: The Beatles (need I say more?)
Classical Rock: Led Zeppelin (you can guarantee Stairway To Heaven will be played in every single dance back in the 70's)
Punk: Sex Pistols (started the punk craze in the basement clubs of Britan)
Rap/Hip-hop: Public Enemy (put actual meaning behind the rhymes)
Blues: John Lee Hooker (fucking legend the guy is)
Modern Rock: Nirvana (Started the grundge thing and brought hair metal to a tragic end)
