Zap is referring to Pascal's wager, which states that you have nothing to lose
and should therefore take a chance and believe in God. The outcomes are as
follows:

If there is a God and you believe in his person, you will go to Heaven while
others who chose to refuse to acknowledge his existence will forever be in
Hell. On the other hand, if there isn't a God, no matter what your position,
you still lose nothing by believing in him. It is therefore safer to "believe" in
God ... but this is all according to the Christian belief system.
