I don't really think you can really say that about an M1. I always find it very interesting how a skilled M1 soldier can kill a man in 1 or 2 shots and in many cases it takes a full clip of ammo for a skilled soldier to kill with a Thompson. It's also just a question of realism, in WWII only the selected few in a unit used SMG's and most people used the M1. In AA or SH almost everyone uses a Thompson. most people I've seen play online rely to heavy on the [see enemy hold firing button and hope the bullets hit the enemy method.]
