Let's try this:

What did you do: Start an internet game with the XP and want to join a LAN game with the 98SE? Or vice versa? Because you can not launch an internet game (say, with some friends) and join with the LAN machine using the 'join LAN game' option.

As far as a step by step goes: It is just install and play.

I have a similar setup. Internet -> XP PC -> HUB -> 2 XP PC's.

If everything works (filesharing, internet, etc.), then it is just a matter of launching MoHAA, start LAN game on one computer, join LAN game on the other. Play.

Networking: Windows ICS automatically cofigures your second networking card with these settings: IP: 192.168.0.1, submask 255.255.255.0.

The other computer(s) in the network should have an IP looking like this: 192.168.0.x, where x is an integer between 1 and 255. The subnetmask should be the same, 255.255.255.0. On the other computers, all other stuff (gateway, WINS/DNS) should say 192.168.0.1.

I recommend the other pc's giving a static address, rather than letting them configure it themselves, booting will be quicker then. Don't use the same IP more than once, hehe.
Why didn't we think of that? lmao
