1) Add/Remove any drivers for the card in the Add/Remove Programs in Control Panel. If it asks you to reboot, don't.
2) Goto the Device Manager (Right-click My Computer>Properties>Hardware>Device Manager) and remove any instance of the SB Sound Card. SHUT DOWN the PC.
3) Remove the SB Card, and boot up the PC.
4) Once logged in completly, shut down again.
5) Put the Sound card in a DIFFERENT PCI (Or ISA) slot, reboot
6) Reinstall drivers.
