good point, Japan sells us a lot of stuff and many Chinese are employed in US companies, the fall of the US would bring uncertainty, Europeans might be more willing to give the labor opportunities to the less advanced European nations or Africa (which is closer and has former colonial ties)

So Japan and China stand to suffer if the US loses.
