I went to a similar kinda thing a couple years back in Kings Cross London, the night was called Scratch, a rapping , breakdancing battle night. I was almost asked to leave for spilling my beer on the backspin Lino in the middle of the floor, haha, all spinning in my beer, wasnt planned but very funny.
