First off, I don't think anyone from dod would be back, beacuse this is a modern day mod, 2nd no one cares about cs because they all cheat, and I think the "Decent modders" as you say got pissd because people like you kept bugging them to produce credits for everything they released, like i said before the only important thing is that they are releasing it and it doesnt matter where they get it from, and they can't be sewed, because the person who designed the "originol mod" was using either ea, valve, etc technology which they don't own, everyone has the right to modify anything any game and release it to the public as long as they do it free of charge.[/quote:e9547]

You just don't get it, do you? These original authors are actually thrilled that their models and such are being converted, they're not thrilled when people take credit for it. I know a couple of CS modelers too that I can contact, I'm sure they'll be interested in knowing about this. The DoD people will be be back too, since the CS and DoD community are very closely knitted to eachother. You can be sued; intellectual property is automatically copyrighted under international law.

All the HL modders want is a little credit, that's all. They really don't mind their stuff being converted (in fact, some of them would be more than happy to help you convert it). I feel like a broken record, but I guess people like Eames are too lead-headed to get it the first time.

Overall, when most of you lazy buggers spend 2 weeks on modelling, skinning, animating and compiling a custom model I will hear what you have to say. These HL people have worked too hard without any profit to just have some barrel-assed pisser take their credit.
