CKR is server side, meaning it affects EVERYONE on the server the same way regardless of your installed mods or connection. odds are you were just getting some video lag or in game lag (even people with a 10 ping get lag on certain servers). try fiddling with your settings and looking for servers with people playing with lower pings.
