and if it wasnt for the US hating communism so much, the war might have been won a lot earlier. some people think that the only reason d-day took so long was so that as much of the Soviet industry and land would be destroyed as possible, so that the ussr would break up. and some people also think they only use the A bomb on japan to show the USSR that they had the a bomb. and what about africa, the battle of britain, and the war at sea? all that helped win the war.
anyway, every country in the war helped win it, and every country lost men. the US might have lost the war if it wasnt for the UK, France and most of the rest of the allies. no one country won the war
