So the internet was now mainstream.. so what?
Well, most distro groups had now found permanent resting places for their stuff and was accessible in a better way than login off a board and dialing up to another: it was now possible to just use ftp software and connect to a site (via its IP and L/P's) to download or upload and while still connected to that one, CONNECT TO ANOTHER

... plus the cops weren't net-savvy yet so it was a golden time for us..
Fast-forward in the future and we're here permanently: no more login on boards with telephone modems... only cable modems...blazingly fast cable modems.. for most of us !
More on what's going now in my next post !
