1 Day Later - A MOH:AA Review
Well I just got MOHAA yesterday (Wal-Mart for $39.99) and must say the first campaing seemed, well rushed, I dont know how else to describe it. Dont get me wrong there are cool intense moments but for the most part it feels like its missing something. I bought RTCW too, I played it thu and I liked it, I had the feeling that I was gonna love MOHAA way more then RTCW but thats just not the case so far, no matter what I want to make myself think.
I hope the game pace slows down and it gets a little better, I guess after playing games like Deus Ex I feel FPS games should immerse you on a very deep level, but maybe not this type of game.
I have read many many people saying how the ending of MOHAA really flat out sucks, that it like just ends,no ending dialogue or anything. I can at least say RTCW, shit even SOF and HL wraped it up in a quick but classy way, a few in-game cut scenes and dialogue go a long way in a sense of accomplishment after beating a game. I am no longer looking forward to beating this game.
It would be ideal if somone at 2015 said yup, this is true, I didnt agree with it either but Evil EA made us cut it short, so Im gonna add a few cut-scenes in a patch so it has a descent ending. That would be great but also highly unlikely in this ERA of game developer attitudes.
I feel like maybe at this point in the game that 2015 gave us the best of MOHAA in the demo, the exception being Normandy, I think they saved that for the ending. Also MP dosent seem to appeal to me too much either, just as with the demo, the CS style round based die in the first 5 secs and your out for 5 min stuff just dosent cut it with fans anymore, thats why DoD is so popular and fun. Its funner playing deathmatch because you respawn and can get back in the mix but that defeats the whole team aspect of a WWII game, this is a section where the fun factor sould outway the realism, If I wanted to sit around after I die for 5 minutes I could go play a CS game.
Anyway thats what I can say about the full version after having played through the first misson (containing like 6 mini levels), my 1 Day Later Review.
Hope I gave you a true and unbiased opinion thus far, I think I will make a more through and objective review once I have finished the game and played more MP to add that aspect to the game experaince as a whole.
