I have heard of some of the very newest lcds that are supposed to be "OK" for gaming, but most, no matter what the manufacturer claims, have issues with games. The vast majority of LCDs you cant even change the resolution or the refresh rate.

I know a guy that dropped a grand on a big lcd that was adverstised as fine for gaming. He ended up taking it to work and refuses to talk about it now.

LCDs may work for games eventually, but I wouldnt be the guy that buys the 1st "good for gaming" model.

But i'm talking about TFT's, and those are totally diffirent from LCD's. They don't use Crystals but instead something else (can't remember what it is right now tho) and therefore they are also a LOT more expensive. A 15" TFT screen costs about 200-400 bucks depending on the manufacturer. The only issue with TFT's is that the resolution isn't the best (on a 15" TFT max resolution is 1024x768).

But other then that they are quite good for gaming. Not as good as a big ol' CRT screen but still very game-friendly happy:
