It could be your CD ROM. I had a similar problem, and it turned out to be a file corruption problem during the install.

1. Uninstall MOH:AA. Get rid of saved games etc, and delete the EA Games folder when finished.

2. Copy all the files from both disks to your hard drive in separate folders called Disk1 and Disk2 respectively.

3. Run the setup from your hard drive under disk1, and when it asks for disk 2, point it to the directory where you copied all the files from disk 2 to.

4. Play.

Also - make sure you set your virtual memory correctly. Either let windows manage it, or set the minimum and maximum to double your ram. So if you have 256 megs of RAM, set your min and max virtual memory to 512.

Also, defrag. Update your drivers. If you can't update your drivers, your computer is fucked up beyond belief. Format and reinstall your Operating System.
