I have a actual fix for you that will work. Hard Code your swap file. Right click on "My Computer" and go to properties then go to your virtual memory section. instead of Windows XP changing the size of the swap file set to to a min of at 800 and a max of 800, then it will always be set and will not resized during the game. Why do I think this will work, I had the same issue and my hard drive would read alot when playing the game "thus windows resizing the swap file". Trust me it works....
