1. Showing respect and alligiance for your country is serious.
2. What kind of pussy country would have the ice cream man song as their national anthem? ( I assume your refering to "pop-goes -the weasel") No one could take a world leader or an olympic athelete seriously.
3. While the Stones and Hendrix are cool, I don't think their songs fit the bill for a national anthem. Besides, wouldn't you want the author of your national anthem to be from your own country?
