This is my main concern. HP told me that my burner would be able to read DVD-R's once the technoligy was available, but that never happened, and it cost me an additional 100 bucks to get something I already was sopposed to have.

Being one of the first people to jump on the "3Ghz Hyper-Threading: 2 processors in one" Technoligy wagon, I have no rush to go out and up my system with either chip. What I mean by this is the newest and best thing in technoligy is not always the biggest promise you expect. IMO, I would of stuck with the 2.8Ghz processor without hyper-threading.
