i would join just to see what my grandfather went through , but still i think it would be impossible to simulate the complete state of mind and atmosphere that he experianced when he was at war . it would be fun though . i really wish i had the free time to do something like this . i remember one day when i was young my grandfather showed me a letter he framed and had on the wall . it was the speech that MacArthur presented to congress when he was dismissed as commander in chief of the UN forces during Korea . i was too young to understand what he was showing me but , now i realise how he must have felt back then and i try to see what it must have been like . after he died , i kept that speech and put it up on my wall . i always had it in the back of my mind to join the military since i have a strong military background on my father's side , but i became a lazy ass and now i'm too old
