In 6 years on the Chicago Housing Police Department, I saw and did some stuff, but it was all a prom date compared to what the military boys went through in Somalia (and of course everywhere else US military has been deployed). After seeing the movie twice, reading a great deal of material online and watching the History channel's special on the Black Hawk Down story, you can have nothing but awesome respect for those guys, period. I don't care about the reasons behind it, the policy or the results. If you've never really been shot at, you can't understand. It sucks. Glad after playing video games I can go upstairs and eat a cookie.
