There the same guy.. why ?

1 : upham is the guy, who took care of it, that they dint shoot steamboot willie, its upham to thank that he still lives, and it was upham who saw him as a humanbeing (giving him water, sigarets etc) unlike the rest of the squad who just wanted to kill hem, now after steamboot stabs mellish, he doesnt kill upham because upham saved his life before when he was captured, and it was upham to thank that they let him go, NOW at the end the reason that upham STILL shoots willie, is because he was sick of himself and sees clearly he was WRONG about to let him go in the first place, and NOT saving melish, so as soon as willie say's to upham : upham you remember me (or something like that) he thinks to himself : it was wrong letting you go, it believed in you, i tought you was different then the others, that you dint believed in this war like i did, that you really hated hitler, that you would surrender, but instead of that, you used me. and then he shots him
