And you are missing one extemely important issue here and the difference between Germans and Japananese. Unlike the Japan Government the Germans have openly apologised, they have made sure that the future generations will know about the thrid reich and its war criminals so that it may never happen again by teaching the history. On the other hand the Japanese have not apologised to the extent of that of the Germans nor have they educated their people about this atrocities. Instead they teach in they history books that the Koreans and Chinese were responsible for starting the war and they were the real enemies. And if you think about there still thousands of unheard stories by Allied POWs who suffered tremendous brutality for example the Bataan Death march and the horrible experiments conducted on them as well as the millions of chinese victims who suffered the same fate like being buried alive, burnt alive, raped, used as guinea pigs for biological experiments and more. I mean they forced father to have sex with their daughthers and the same for Sons and mothers. How fucked up is that? And all these we hear no proper apology or reassurance. Instead we hear numerous war criminals getting away with it and not told about to the world what they have done.
