My grandfather, Harold Chadwick was in the USArmy in WW2. He was definately a very comemorated troop. His group had traveled through Germany and France.

He had killed several Nazi Generals (Nazi Generals used to where these very large silver shields on their chests to signify ranks...my granfather had 5 of them)...

He even received a letter from Mother Thereasa which I have seen. Apparently his group had entered into a small town in Germany which was leveled...but several small children and women were alive...so his group, fed, and offered medical aid to these people...saving lives. Mother Thereasa got wind of this and wrote his group a letter..each received a letter adressed by name.

He died about 4 years ago of heart conditions...and in his memory we had created a very large collage with all of his medals and honors...

I thank him for his efforts and fighting for us...if he hadnt...I could very well be speaking German by now...
