shoudln't be too hard to give the Soviets a DP-28, it performed similar to Bren, so just re-skin that and modify the number of rounds in magazine.[/quote:af8f2]

exactly, most russian soldiers were lucky to even have a gun and if they did the overwhelming majority carried mosin-nagants because there was alot of them and were easy to make, and the ppsh's because they were cheap and easy to make and mass produce.[/quote:af8f2]

you ned to stop watching Enemy at the Gates and read the book. It was the RETREATING troops who were forced to make a stand who did not have enough guns, why, because they lost them in the reatreat (not expecting to be forced to make a stand), the reinforcements were generally well armed, especially infantry attached to tank brigades.[/quote:af8f2]

you misunderstood what i wrote, i said that most russian soldiers carried mosin nagants and ppsh's because they were cheap and easy to manufacture and thats why the russians werent given a mg in cod because its accurate.[/quote:af8f2]

uh, no, the standard issue squad LMG was the DP-28, there weren't enough in early war, but the late-war unit where you storm Warsaw and Berlin would at least have one DP-28 per squad.
So you should at least see DP-28s in teh Warsaw and Berlin missions (with like 1 or 2 during the Stalingrad campaign)

BTW. the Germans didn't have STGs in Stalingrad, did they?
