The Bombing of Nagasaki and Hiroshima with nuclear weapons was justified and right. Japan had to be broken, not just defeated. Else they would have tried their expansionistic, empire building crap again by this point.

They had to be taught a lesson for Pearl Harbor. The message was clear; "you pull a sneak attack on us and we will vaporise a couple hundred thousand of you. Don't fuck with us EVER again!". Consequently they have stayed in their place ever since.
