Well in the realism mod you can kill with one shot often. I love it. But I can't expect to get high kill totals before I die. I just find it more satifying when I do get some kills with it. And I love how it sounds too.

But no doubt you are at a definate disadvantage when it comes to close quarters or when you are rushed.

I would HIGHLY recommend they allow the mauser to have a clubbing attack like the pistol. This would greatly increase one's chances of surviving a shotgun raider, or any other close attack.

I think most of us wish ALL small arms had clubbing, but at least this way the mauser would have some value as something other than the non-scoped sniper rifle that actually requres some skill.
