Riddle me this. What program is the easiest to use in terms of making skins for models?

And can you use to same to make the crosshairs?

I would like to start doing this, but haven't the foggist idea where to start. Is there a url which does a step by step type of thing?

I want to make a nice CANUCK uniform for myself and those that appriciate the finer things in life.
