Yeah...like the people organising raids and suicide car bombs etc. would have said
"Gosh, look the UN are here, not just Americans!!, let's stop all this and be nice!"
I think the blowing up of the UN compound (and the Red Cross) would indicate
"UN involvement" would have made little if any difference to this current situation.
