LOL.. sounds like somehow .zip files have gotten associated with quicktime.. :P

Find any old .zip file, hold down shift & right click the file. Then click on "open with" & choose Winzip from the menu it pops up. Make sure "always use this to open file" is checked. That should do it. Hopefully..

Otherwise it could get a little more detailed. Good luck.
