It was about 10 years ago, when I was living in Florida for about two years. We had these apartment complexes, that were part of a development. Not like an apartment building, but they had two floors, two homes on each. The stairs went up the middle, and the apartments were on both sides.

Anyways, across the other side lived this girl Kim I knew. She was a total tomboy, playing sports with us and crap. One day I went to go knock on the door for her, but no one was answering. I started to hear a knocking on the other side, but it was real low. So I thought it was her playing around, I started knocking harder, and the other side was knocking harder, too. Then her front door opened. So, I stepped inside, and it quickly slammed on my head.

I FLEW down the stairs scared shitless, and I think my head was bleeding. When I was in the doorway, I also saw no one behind the door. That was what freaked me out. I saw my friend Billy down the block, so I yelled to him. We both pounded on the door and ran, and someone kept pounding back on the other side, and opening and closing the door.

Finally, Kim's older brother came home (about my age now) and asked if his sister was home, he said she was at some camp or something, so we told him what happened, he opened the door and looked around the house, but no one was home. Real odd shit.
The knokcing you heard was an echo. Usually happens in those kinds of complexes.

Maybe something was on the other side of the door and when you pushed it in, the door hit the object and swung back at you. Or something like that, point is there are lots of reasonably good explanations for what happen.[/quote:38d32]

Dude! An ECHO does not POUND on a door! Trust me, it was NOT an echo! The front door was LOCKED when he came home, and yet the thing was opening and shutting at random! Trust me, this was ab-normal.
