Hey, I was thinking of going infantry too...thats what the recruiters wanted me to do when i went up their for the nrotc scholarships pft and i almost maxed it, the msgt a former infantryman was like "you ever think abou the infantry son"[/quote:74a05]
You "maxed" what? The SAT or ACT? You have to take those two tests to qualify for the NROTC scholarship.[/quote:74a05]
no...definitly didnt max the sat only got an 1170, i almost maxed out the pft which is part of the nrotc marine option scholarship requirements...if you dont know what the pft is, its a "personal fitness test" and once u get to paris island you will become very familiar with the pft. The pft for the marine corps consists of a 3 mile run, 100 points is 18 minutes or less, u get -5 for each additional minute...i maxed this portion did it in 18 15 they gave me the 15 seconds because they said they round down. The next segment is crucnches...the easiest part 100 crunches is 100 points i did 107, the next thing and the hardest is pull ups, 20 is 100 points 3 is passing i did 14 and i got -30 for that. So I got a 270, still a damned good pft score but not quite maxing it out, I will at the Citadel though.[/quote:74a05]
Haha of course I know what the PFT is... I dont think Milla does though eek:[/quote:74a05]
lets hope he figures it out before he gets to infantry school...
