Well hydrogen fuelled cars are the ones most likely to replace the current ones. That's gonna cut down the oil usage.

Also solar technology is getting better and better. I hear about these "solar towers" that are going to be built in the US and Australia (for trials) and they'ree basically a huge tower filled with turbines and surrounded by acres of glass. The way it works is the sun heats the air under the glass which then rises and powers the turbines.

If things get REALLY desperate we could always use nuclear power.
